Kansas State cornerback Terence Newman is on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot for the first time this year, as the National Football Foundation released Monday a list of 78 players and nine coaches from major college football who are on the list.

Taft linebacker Caden Cowles is an A student, black belt in Taekwondo and will be honored at the scholar banquet by the San Fernando Valley chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
